Oral presentation

Session length will be depending on the number of participants, usually 7-10 persons per session. Sessions will last max 90 minutes each, with strict time limits imposed as follows:
• Opening and introduction by the chairperson
• Oral presentions (7 min presentation + 3 min discussion)
• Closing remarks by the chairperson
Please do not exceed the time limit, since it will be listed by the chairperson in your score form.

Each session room will be equipped with:
• one chalk board or white board
• one Powerpoint LCD projector (1024* 768 pixels resolution) with a Windows PC.

Following presentation structure is suggested:
• background/purpose
• methods
• results
• summary/conclusion
• questions and answers

Timing:
Your presentation: 7 minutes
Questions and answers: 3 minutes
Total- do not exceed: 10 minutes

No single structure will fit all presentations. The best resource you have on how to present your work will probably be your research advisor.

Your Powerpoint presentation must be Windows 2000/XP compatible.
